About This Game Bounce is a VR physics-based puzzle game for the HTC Vive and Oculus Touch. Under the supervision of H8-Bit and 2Bit, two robots tasked with overseeing security of the intergalactic spaceship, players must help D1G-B, their spherical robot companion, traverse levels using an array of gadgets at their disposal to exit each level’s portal. With moving obstacles, laser gates, gravity wells, and multi-floor levels obstructing the path of D1G-B, players will have to use their creativity to construct solutions.COOL FEATURES:50 Levels of ever increasing complexity. Oh, there are levels where you will hate us, but we bet you can't stop!Use an array of Physics based Gadgets to solve each level such as Half-Pipes, Planks, Accelerator Rings, Trampolines, Tractor Beams, etc. Use the right tools for the job.Star-rank Scoring System based on your efficiency at solving each level. Can you 3-Star every level? Ha! We'd like to see you try.Beat the game and unlock Style Mode. Play each level again in Style Mode and get scored on your creative complexity instead of efficiency. The premise is simple, get a cute ball from one end of an obstacle course to the other using a limited set of pieces and a limited number of attempts at trial and error along the way. What sets Bounce apart from a lot of tepid VR puzzlers is that it takes full advantage of all three dimensions. The ball usually starts in the ceiling, and you have a limited amount of momentum to get it quite some distance to a target that could also be up in the ceiling, or behind numerous baffles, or only after finding a way to get through several hoops between start and finish.Bounce earns distinction not only for the puzzles, but its soundtrack as well. The audio is enjoyable (except for the sad, sad sound of D1G-B hitting a bulkhead - and even that's amusing). The graphics are up to snuff and the game looks polished and professional. If I have a disappointment with the game, it's that it doesn't tell you what "par" is for each course. Figuring out that style doesn't matter (in the first go-round) only the number of times you test your pathway for D1G-B was both mildly frustrating and a minor let down. All in all, if you enjoy puzzle games, Bounce is a great one to buy.. Great game all around. The graphics are amazing. Sometimes I just sit and stare through the windows for a while. The levels are pretty intense and take some time to work through. I love the lightbulb moment when I figure it out. I also love the music. My only complaint is that in some levels, the physics seem inconsistent. It could just be me, but sometimes doing the exact same things without any outside influence (like gravity zones or moving objects) produces different trajectories. It could be some part of the mechanics of the game I don't understand, and it doesn't happen in many levels, but it does happen occasionally. Regardless, I'd recommend this game to anyone.. Played the demo, and I was impresssed enough to pick up the full version. So far its been a lot of fun - the controls are simple, and the gameplay works great for room scale. Fun puzzle game that feels like a complete game, not just "part 1" or "early access" which a lot of current VR titles seem to be.. This game is great. Exellent graphics and fun to play. Very ploshed and smooth a must buy.. Fun, but I'm left wondering what grants a three-star level. Using the least amount of items in my inventory to complete the level or hitting the goal closest to center? One level had ~6 items in the inventory. I reached the goal using only two items and received a single-star rating. What!? I used different items in the inventory and was eventually able to get a three-star rating. What!? What!? Yes, I'm the anal, over-achiever who wants three stars on every level, so it got old fast. I stopped playing because of the unpredictable ratings. If you just to play through the levels and solve the puzzles without any concern for the ratings, this is a great puzzle game and utilizes controls and space well. *It has implemented blink/transport locomotion. *Controls are intuitive and work well with the environment.*It would have been nice had they utilized true room-size room scale for this game. It would have made for a more enjoyable, more immersive experience.. This simulation provides a great introduction to physics concepts. Players need to create a Rube Goldberg type of contraption to maneuver a virtual marble to a target. Users experiment with angles, slope, and speed to complete the challenge. My middle school students were discussing momentum and distance, completely oblivious to the fact that they were demonstrating their understanding of content because they were so intent on working together to get to the next level. This series of levels makes this an easy game to use with a large group and helps users build on prior knowledge to achieve success.. Fun, but I'm left wondering what grants a three-star level. You move a ball from one spot to another using a limited number of planks, conveyor belts, pipes, fans, trampolines, etc. Even a tiny change in angle of one item changes everything. It's awesome.
